Schools and Housing: Is Washington DC Family Friendly?
The Brookings Institution, the Urban Institute and the 21st Century School Fund released the findings of an 18-month long study sponsored by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education, Quality Schools and Healthy Neighborhoods, that shows how a cohesive strategy to align policy, planning, and budget in education and neighborhood development can make the District a more family-friendly city and help attract thousands of children to the public schools.
