DCPS Closeups is maintained as a partnership between DCPS, the Deputy Mayor for Education's Office and the 21st Century School Fund.  The purpose of DCPS Closeups is to provide the public, but particularly parents, with easy access to basic information about the DCPS schools, so they can make informed decisions about which DCPS schools will be best for their children.

It is also designed to provide the local school with the ability to add or change information about their programs and services, so principals have an easy way to get current information on partnerships, services, programs, and opportunities available at their school.
